Navy School Liaison Officer Program

It’s hard to believe that being a Navy spouse and brat, I had never realized there was a Navy School Liaison Officer Program (NSLOP) until 5 years ago!  The NSPOR helps to ensure school personnel are aware of the stressors on military families brought about by frequent transitions and extended deployments.  The NSLOP specializes in serving military families and offers a wide spectrum of services, enabling families to become more involved in their child’s educational experience.  These services include the following:

  1. School Transition Support (PCS Cycle)
  2. Deployment Support
  3. Special Education System Navigation
  4. Communications: Command, Educator, Community, Parents
  5. Partnerships in Education
  6. Home School Support
  7. Post-Secondary Preparation
